The Indiana Office of Technology provides cost-effective, secure, consistent, reliable enterprise-technology services to our partner agencies so that they can better serve our mutual customer, the Hoosier taxpayer. IOT will also act as the technology and solution enabler for the State, helping its partner agencies achieve business objectives and innovation.
Role Overview :
The Communications Director is the lead agency official responsible for the internal and external communication strategy—including development of IOT's brand portfolio and its connection to the IOT customer experience—and supporting workforce information initiatives with focus on employee engagement and an enriching workforce culture. The Communications Director writes, edits, and disseminates all major agency and departmental communications regarding agency tools, processes, best practices, and technologies. This position is responsive to the State Chief Information Officer and the agency's chief executives on external communication impacting business with three branches of state government, Indiana local government, other industry stakeholders, and a variety of media platforms. The Communications Director also drives results through agency communication to stakeholders such as annual reports, publications, social media, and awards and recognition. The Communications Director serves as a face and voice for the agency with media when the agency launches new public-facing/supportive initiatives and when needed for crisis/issue management. This position manages IOT's internal communication platforms as well as the agency's external website.
Salary Statement :
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $75,010.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.
