About the Job:

DLP Staffing is currently accepting applications for the position of.

 

Position Title: CUSTODIAN
Location: New Braunfels, Tx

FLSA: Non-Exempt
Hire Pay: $13.00-$15.00 per hour.
Classification : Part-Time/Temporary


JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Maintains the cleanliness of the building to meet client satisfaction.


Job Duties:

  • 24HR prior to starting: Notify the store of the ETA.
  • After arriving at to store.
  • check-in in with the Manager on Duty.
  • Access the janitor's Closet.


Restroom:

  • Deep clean walls, floors, sinks, partitions, mirrors, and toilets.
  • All surfaces and fixtures.
  • Break rooms & Training rooms. 
  • Sweep & mop floors.


Floor Scrubbing: 

  • The main racetrack only.
  • Pre-sweep if needed.
  • When complete, dump the recovery tank when full and refill it with water.

 
Empty Trash:

  • Front Entrance. 
  • Restrooms. 
  • Breakrooms/Office areas.


SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:

  • Receives supervision from the Lead Supervisor.
  • The position has no formal assigned supervisory responsibility or authority.
  • Must complete jobs without constant supervision.


WORKING CONDITIONS:

The principal duties of this position are performed in an indoor and/or outdoor environment. Works standing and walking for prolonged periods while cleaning and/or sanitizing the work area. Steps, stoops, crawls, climbs, lifts, bends, kneels, pulls, and pushes while performing job duties such as heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing or pulling required of objects up to 55 pounds. Physical work is a primary part of the job. The work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions. Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, cleaning chemicals, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.


ALCOHOL AND DRUG TESTING POLICY:

This position is subject to the DLP Staffing, Drug-Free Workplace Policy which includes Post-Accident Testing, Random Testing, and/or Reasonable Suspicion Testing.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must pass a federal background check.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Effective interpersonal/communication skills.
  • Ability to understand written and verbal communications.
  • Ability to understand verbal instructions.
  • Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures. Effective grooming skills.
  • Able to operate electronic devices for clocking in/out procedures. Ability to operate vacuums and other related equipment.
  • Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Ability to lift, push/pull and manipulate heavy objects up to 55 pounds.

Other: Valid Drivers’ License Class C.
