Position : SAP FICO with Vertex tax integration

Location: Wilmington, DE- Hybrid

Mode of Hire: Contract & Full Time

Job Description:

• Required 10 to 15 years of experience SAP FICO , AP AR and Vertex expertise .
• Provide expert-level SAP FICO support with a strong focus on AP (Accounts Payable), including invoice processing, payment runs, GR/IR clearing, and vendor reconciliation.
• Lead Vertex O Series tax integration for the NA region, ensuring accurate tax determination and automated tax calculation for AP transactions.
• Manage cross-module Source-to-Pay (STP) scenarios with integration between FI, MM, and Procurement processes.
• Configure and optimize AP sub-processes: vendor master data, payment terms, check/ACH payments, and open item management.
• Work closely with business teams to handle sales & use tax, withholding tax, and 1099 reporting requirements through Vertex.
• Perform configuration, functional testing (Unit, SIT, UAT), and defect resolution for FICO and Vertex-related issues.
• Analyze month-end and year-end AP activities (GR/IR clearing, open AP reporting, payment proposals).
• Support and troubleshoot cross-functional integrations (e.g., MM-LIV, procurement flows, and payment interfaces with banks).
• Prepare functional specifications, test scripts, and provide user training for AP and tax-related functionalities.
• Partner with technical teams to manage custom enhancements or Vertex tax logic
